Ardha Pincha Mayurasana

Ardha: Half, Pincha: Feathered: Mayura: Peacock, Asana: Pose

A ‘half’ feathered peacock as the full Pincha lifts the legs up into a forearm balance and the legs overhead resemble the fan of a peacock. Also sometimes referred to as dolphin pose or simply forearm dog. A lovely pose in itself or used as prep for the full version or in this case we used it as prep for supported headstand (Salamba Sirsasana).
